Graduate Mental health Practitioner (Band 5) Full-time

Chichester Assessment and Treatment Service. Chapel Street clinic. Chichester

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Mental Health Practitioner in our community mental health team. Sussex Partnership is proud to be developing these new roles which have become part of our experienced workforce.

The post holder will have a degree, and a Post graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice (PGCMH), having completed placements and been assessed with competencies in assessment of mental health needs, and risk assessment.

The Graduate Mental Health Training Programme is a joint venture between Higher Education and the NHS. The roles are informed by bio-psychosocial models of health care for people with severe and complex mental health difficulties.

Graduate Mental health Practitioners will help provide outstanding care and treatment, co-ordinate care provided, support people with their recovery journey, offer time limited interventions, monitor risks, and collaborate with carers and families.


The successful applicant will join a friendly, highly skilled, and enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team which includes consultant psychiatrists, community psychiatric nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, peer support workers and support workers.

You will be providing high quality mental health care, with multi-disciplinary colleagues, where staff well-being is a high priority.
