TEACHING ASSISTANT
Teaching & Learning (Occasional Cover)

Level 3, Grade 4.

Permanent contract.

18 Hours per week, term time only contract.

Required to start as soon as possible

Availability to work Monday - Friday


Salary - £21,575 - £21,968 FTE Salary will be pro-rata based on hours and term time

We are looking to appoint an experienced primary school practitioner with demonstrably high standards of numeracy and literacy who has completed a course of study to equip themselves for this role - minimum of NVQ Level 3 Certificate for Teaching Assistants or the equivalent as you will be expected to provide occasional cover support.

You will work under the direction of teaching staff provide specific support in the care and development of pupils and the management of the classroom


Duties include:

providing support to pupils in relation to their individual abilities, providing structured support to specific work programmes, support pupils in relation to their individual needs e.g.

behaviour strategies, supervise pupils in a curricular activity, contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation, co-ordinate students attending extra curricular activities.

On occasion you will be expected to provide support to teachers within the curriculum area. To act as Cover Supervisor during teacher absence under the direction of a teacher/designated member of staff.
