Overview:

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain a clean and tidy environment (office, storeroom, side rooms, bays, patient areas, lounges, bed areas, treatment room, sluice)
- To clean equipment as and when required and ensure ready for use
- To ensure all equipment sent for repair and yearly PAT tests undertaken
- To manage ward linen and laundry supply
- To assist with the daily health and safety checks, i.e. have an awareness of health and safety issues and report accordingly.
- To keep the treatment room / utility room stocked with equipment
- To work with Material management to ensure correct stock levels maintained and that stock is correctly stored and maintained
- To assist in the order of non - stock goods by liaising with procurement and using E series
- To maintain lost property
- To help prepare and clean the bed areas for admissions and following discharge.
- To make beds and clear bed spaces daily.
- To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required
- To monitor the ward environment, co-ordinate any repairs by liaising with the estates department and to take follow up action as necessary to ensure that tasks are completed.
- Undertake, in conjunction with Ward Manager, twice weekly cleanliness audits.
Education
Essential criteria
- ICT skills
- Relevant GCSE or equivalent grade

- Previously worked as ward adminstrator within NHS

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
