We are currently recruiting for a newly formed Tech firm based in Belfast, designed to provide a wider group with the best management solution on the market.
Our client pride themselves on writing high quality, enterprise grade, distributed software solutions that are secure, efficient, scalable, and well architected to allow for ease of reuse and modification.
A Microsoft development house who predominantly use Microsoft technologies including
.NET, MS/Azure SQL, Azure, Visual Studio, with backend code written in C#.
Blazor, gRPC, Docker, Redis, Cosmos DB and much more. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the company and your role within the organisation.
Role Summary
As a Software Engineer you will work closely with the Senior and Principal Engineers to develop features and enhancements to their products.
You deliver high quality and tested functionality and have used test automation suites. Automated testing is second nature to you, and you appreciate the benefits that it brings.
You are comfortable writing code on your own, and can also talk confidently with team members to efficiently communicate what you are working on and how you are progressing.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, wellstructured code that is extensible, maintainable, and follows the company coding standards
- Assist with technical documentation, stories and work items by understanding requirements and being able to estimate timeframes.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, endtoend, penetration and load tests within automated test environments to ensure code quality.
- Work alongside other Engineers to ensure consistency across the codebase.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior and Principal Software Engineer on progress, and openly share issues and blockers as early as possible so they can be overcome.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Computer Science Degree _preferable but not required_.
- Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience, with experience in system design and architecture.
- High degree of knowledge in C# and.
NET (6 / 7).
- Front end web development experience is beneficial.
- Relational database design with a high degree of experience using SQL underpinned by a solid understanding of SQL Server. NoSQL and other data storage experience is also desirable.
The role will take the form of a hybrid pattern, which requires your flexibility to be in the Belfast office - 3 days per week to really be at one with the collaborative culture our client has.
