Description

Role:
Purchase Ledger

‣Overall responsibility for the purchase ledger, including posting all supplier invoices to our accounting systems (Xero) on a daily basis. Ensure invoices received are authorised and follow up on unauthorised invoices/credits with the relevant department/individuals.

‣Weekly payment runs and month-end payment runs ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner and thereby avoiding late penalties / interest.

‣Supplier statement reconciliations as they are received and before the month end payment run to ensure all invoices have been received and posted.

‣Monitoring company milage and expense claims

‣Overseeing all purchase nominal code accuracy.

Sales Ledger

‣Issuing sales invoices as and when services are completed ,including annual subscriptions

‣Providing back-up data for sales invoices issued to customers on a monthly basis.

Bank

‣ Bank reconciliation - bank account transactions are automatically uploaded to our accounting systems, therefore daily reconciliation of the bank statement is required each morning ensuring supporting invoices and/or receipts are available.

‣ Daily credit card reconciliation ensuring all receipts are posted to the correct nominal codes.


General finance duties include setting up new suppliers/customers, answering the telephone, dealing with queries and supporting the Commercial manager during month end/year end.

Providing cover within the team when necessary to keep on top of Finance related work streams as required, and perform any other duties which from time to time may be required to ensure the smooth running of the business.

What we need from you

‣Experience with the Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.

‣Ability to perform efficiently with high levels of autonomy and to represent the company in a credible and professional manner.

‣Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to devise and implement solutions that benefit both the customer and the business.

‣Excellent verbal and written communication as well as time-management and organisational skills.

‣ An intelligent self-starter with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work on own initiative.

‣Professional and friendly approach with excellent relationship building skills.

‣Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (intermediate)
