Payroll Administrator - Belfast, United Kingdom - VANRATH

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a major player in the Electric and Network industry with the Recruitment of a Payroll Admin in their Stranmillis Office.
It is anticipated that this is for a duration of 10 weeks to cover a period of sickness absence.The Role
- The smooth administration of all processes underpinning the capture, checking and approval of employee timesheets prior to data entry;
- Supporting the Payroll Operations & Contract Manager to maintain a robust system of internal controls and the implementation of continuous improvement in this area:
- Contribute positively as a member of the Payroll Team;
- Develop effective and credible relationships with Managers, colleagues and other providers of services both internal and external who interact with the department, e.gFinance department, HR department and3rdParty Payroll provider;
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
- Adaptability, commitment and flexibility as required to meet changing needs of the Payroll function; and
- Other duties as and when required
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 4 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grade C including Mathematics and English Language;
orminimum two years relevant experience preferably in a clerical / administrative role in a busy office environment - Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to staff at all levels;
- Good organisational skills;
- A high level of IT competence;
- Ability to learn new skills/tasks quickly;
- Proven ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative;
- Excellent team working ability;
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of organisational and planning skills, to ensure deadlines are met;
Desirable Criteria
- Previous relevant experience of timesheet entry and/or time and attendance systems;
- Experience of managing and operating an internal control environment
- Experience of working to tight timescales and a high level of accuracy

Salary:
£19,948.05-£23,951.04 per year
