Reporting to Professor Ruth Chang, the OPLP Assistant will work independently primarily to provide research support for the Oxford Philosophy, Law, and Politics (PLP) Colloqiuim.


The hours of work will be variable according to the requirements of the various projects, and will be agreed between the Assistant and Professor Chang in advance.

The PLP Colloquium is a new interdisciplinary colloquium series that brings together theorists from philosophy, law, politics and beyond to discuss works-in-progress by distinguished visiting scholars. Sessions are held approximately thrice yearly - once each term - and a paper for each session is circulated in advance to participants. It is expected that papers by visiting guests will have broad academic and cross-disciplinary appeal. Beginning in , the Colloquium is co-convened by Ruth Chang, Cecile Fabre, Kate Greasley, Alison Hills, and Cecile LaBorde.


This role is fixed term from 1 January 2023 until 31 December 2032.The hours of work for this role will be variable and agreed between the assistant and Professor Chang in advance, the Assistant will be paid monthly via submission of timesheets.

The postholder will be based at University College, Oxford, OX1 4BH
