Description
A top UK Law Firm is looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to manage their London Corporate and M&A practice groups to provide efficient, client focused professional BD support to Fee-Earners within the team.
You will work with the partnerson the creation of the practice area plan, the supporting marketing plans and budgets.The role will be working the hours 9.30am - 5.30pm, 3 days in the office, 2 from home with a salary of up to £75,000 is on offer plus fantastic benefits.
The Business Development Manager duties include;- Support the practice head in relation to practice area analysis;
- Encourage associates to get involved in business development activities that support the practice area plan;
- Lead on relevant crosspractice area initiatives that relate to the practice;
- Work with partners and other fee earners to provide strong project management in the implementation of the plans;
- Develop action plans for existing clients, targets and intermediaries;
- Work with client partners responsible for clients on the firmwide key client programme;
- Develop an understanding of the work of the group and its subpractice areas;
- Keep uptodate on competitors and developments in the legal market that impact the practice
- Support of the internal comms team ensure that the group's messages and activities are appropriately communicated internally to facilitate crossselling opportunities;
- Ensure the practice is represented in firm wide business development activities, acting as the "eyes and ears" for cross selling and cross practice initiatives;
- Work alongside the pitch executive to provide strategic support to our pitch activity including analysing the opportunity as well as carrying out pitch debriefs internally; and act as the business development lead on strategic firmwide campaigns.
- Develop and deliver profile raising plans for the practice, subareas and individuals with the support of the marketing communications team;
- Work alongside the knowledge lawyers, keep abreast of trends in the market in order to identify potential hot topics and ideas for content;
- Work with the marketing communications team and the knowledge lawyers to implement marketing campaigns;
- Work with the events on the delivery of client events;
- Effectively leverage thought leadership produced by the fee earners, including working with fee earners to develop their LinkedIn profiles;
- Assist partners and the PR manager on PR initiatives and press release;
- Work with feeearners on the development and production of all practice area materials, both on
- Oversee the preparation of directory and award submissions;
- Oversee the production of eCommunications (using Vuture and Passle), helping partners to pull together targeted lists (using their CRM system InterAction), monitoring reader statistics and alerting partners to any
- Proof read documents to ensure they are aligned to house style.
