An exciting opportunity has arisen in Essex Police for the role of Recruitment Assistant.


This role is key in supporting the recruitment and selection activities for Police Officers and Police Staff for both Essex Police & Kent Police.

You will be required to maintain and update any related computerised records, assist with the planning, organising and running of assessment centres and selection processes in order to facilitate the effective and timely provision of all aspects of recruitment and selection.

You will have previous experience in an administrative role and should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

Experience of Microsoft Office Products is essential and previous experience of a HR database system such as SAP would be desirable.


You will be required to be self-motivated, flexible, have attention to detail and have the capability to work off their own initiative, as well as working alone or in a team.


This role is generally Monday-Friday, however there is a requirement to work weekends and evenings and on occasions travel to Kent due to the recruitment function being a collaborative team.


Successful applicants for this role will be defined as an; Office based Agile Worker - Office based agile working with designated team area.

Works predominantly (60% or more) in one office space. The rest of the time works at home or at other police site locations.
