About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs? Do you have experience working with diverse learning abilities? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onetoone support to students with additional needs, both in the classroom and during specialist sessions.
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to review meetings as required.
Promote independence and social skills development through structured activities and positive reinforcement.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
