About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onetoone support to students with additional needs, both in the classroom and during specialist sessions.
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and contributing to review meetings as required.
- Promote independence and social skills development through structured activities and positive reinforcement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
