This post holder will work closely with the Head of Retail on all Retail, People & Volunteers marketing activity across Isabel Hospice.

The post holder will focus on all aspects of the marketing trading plan across online platforms and physical shops, concentrating on customer engagement, new customer acquisition, sustainable shopping and brand awareness, and will include designing print artwork and writing copy, whilst being the main advocate for brand guidelines.


There must also be a focus on staff and volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention and how we communicate effectively throughout the organisation, bringing our values to life and using the right channels to engage.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working with a range of staff across Isabel Hospice and liaising with external suppliers, to implement planned marketing activity and assist with marketing enquiries
  • Plan and facilitate the production of highquality marketing materials and communication tools
  • Assist with the rollout and administration of planned marketing campaigns, brand launches and website launch projects, as well as regular updates to the Isabel website
  • Manage relationships with external partners
  • Assist with monitoring website traffic and compiling reports on the website, including updating monthly statistics using Google Analytics
  • Manage stocks of marketing materials, ensuring they are kept up to date and organising reorders where necessary
  • Manage and maintain Isabel's image library and the marketing area of Isabel's intranet
  • Produce reports on the impact of marketing for internal stakeholders
  • Line manage the Marketing Executive
  • Manage the invoicing process, and assisting with administering the marketing budget

Skills and knowledge:


  • Demonstrable interest or recognised qualification in marketing, fundraising or PR
  • Experience of working in a marketing or communications related role
  • IT literate including MS Office
  • Experience of Content Management Systems, Google Analytics and familiarity with writing for websites
  • Experience of managing the design and production of marketing materials
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail and problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels
  • Keen, highly motivated and a quick learner
