The role:

Empower 100 is a new project funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Virgin StartUp.

Empower 100 will support 100 diverse founders with growth potential to maximise their chances of scaling and financing their businesses successfully.

The core of the 'accelerator' programme will be a three-month programme with training modules, networking, mentoring, peer-to-peer learning, and experience from participating in a Demo Day event.

The Project Administrator will be responsible for general project administration and events coordination duties.


Key responsibilities:

Project Administration

  • Supporting the Project Manager and Project Executive on reporting and submitting claims;
  • Becoming fully acquainted with the UK Shared Prosperity Fund guidelines and processes, and supporting the team to ensure the programme is delivered in line with these.
  • Managing the project's filing and documents retention systems
  • Maintaining CRM (Salesforce) records.
  • Supporting the Project Manager setting up new suppliers and managing invoices for programme related expenses.
Project Delivery

  • Support the Relationship Manager to facilitate the cohort sessions (these are delivered by external experts).
  • Support on programme delivery and liaising with founders including: creating programme sessions on Zoom and creating and following up on cohort surveys.
  • Content management: uploading materials on Mighty Networks (the platform we use to support programme delivery) and posting any other relevant information on the programme's Slack channel.
  • Liaising with experts to arrange 121 meetings with founders.
Events Coordination - supporting the Events Executive on the following

  • Book catering, A/V and other suppliers.
  • Sourcing and booking venues.
  • Source and booking speakers.
  • Maintaining event materials and sharing on relevant channels.
  • Keeping records of attendance and other event related documents.
  • Assist and attend all the Empower 100 inperson events in London.

For this role we need you to be/have:

  • Highly organised and can handle a few tasks at the same time.
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software packages with particular emphasis on Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or databases (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify errors, collate data and produce management reports.
  • Good communications skills, verbally and written.
  • Experience working in digital and inperson events.
  • Previous experience in administration of governmentfunded project and/ or business support programmes desirable
  • Experience within a customerfocussed environment desirable
  • Awareness/ knowledge/ interest in the entrepreneurial and Startup ecosystem desirable
