The Service:

Located in Bacup, Pine House is a 20 bed community facing purpose built hospital for men aged 18 years and above with complex mental health needs due to mental illness and/or acquired brain injury.

The service will provide an holistic approach to recovery from mental illness whilst maximising potential and promoting independence.

We strive to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment to enable each of the males in our care to achieve meaningful and sustainable recovery and fulfil her individual potential to the maximum extent.

We help them make positive change in their lives and to gain greater independence, long-term mental well-being and successful reintegration into their community at their earliest opportunity.

Our Hospital aims to be a centre of excellence providing high quality, holistic, person-centred rehabilitative care and specialised treatment for women with complex mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour.

Our goal is for each of the men in our care to achieve meaningful and sustainable positive change in their lives and to gain greater independence, long-term mental wellbeing and successful reintegration into their community.

About you:
You're a caring, can-do person with experience working in building maintenance. Ideally, some of that has been gained within a care/Healthcare setting. Aswell as being very practical, you like dealing with people. You're happy building good relationships with colleagues and contractors. You're a multi-tasker who can work well under pressure and use your initiative to solve problems.

Above all, you're a team player who takes pride in your work and is committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for our service.

Your role:

The safety of our patients and staff is really important. So your role will be to make sure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You'll perform regular checks, carry out repairs and, when needed, contact engineers or service agents. You'll be confident doing fire, basic electrical and appliance checks. Faults must be reported and actioned promptly. We'll also expect you to keep the grounds looking tidy and carry out general redecoration work. As our Maintenance Person, you'll be a valuable member of our team.
