Job description
The primary function of the role is to assemble the company's products according to supplied specifications and established assembly methods.
This role reports directly to the Production Manager.
The Production Assembly Operative will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, and work orders to facilitate product assembly.
- Assemble products, installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, casings etc.
- Installation of electrical systems, e.g., cabling, cable management, distribution equipment, switchgear etc.
- Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment as and when directed.
- Inspect and/or test assembled product to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Appropriately record any defects highlighted by finished product inspection and take appropriate corrective action as directed.
The Production Assembly Operative will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
Essential:
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- High standards
- Flexibility
- Able to follow written, visual and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity using hand tools
Desirable:
- Assembly/ Electrical assembly experience is desirable but not essential.
- Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential
Other requirements for the role are:
Full training will be given, although the following would be an advantage:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised and able to complete tasks within time limits
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve a goal
- Polite and helpful with a positive 'can do' attitude
- Passionate about saving energy, carbon, and helping mitigate climate change

Standard Office Hours - 08:30AM- 17:00PM Mon
- Fri. Your hours will vary from these to accommodate your workload etc.
Salary:
£11ph rising to £11.46ph after successfully passing probation period
