During this exciting time of growth for the University, we are seeking a talented strategic People Business Partner to collaborate closely with a key faculty and contribute to the delivery of People projects.


Position Overview:


As a strategic People Business Partner, you will be a vital member of our People Business Partnering team, responsible for partnering with one of our faculties during a period of change and growth.


Your expertise will contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of People strategies, policies, and processes that align with our core values.


This role will also involve leading and supporting various People projects, particularly focusing on policy review and development to ensure that our University maintains a positive and inclusive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Faculty Partnership:
You will collaborate closely with the designated faculty leadership team to understand their unique needs, challenges, and objectives.

Supported by a People Advisor, you will be the go-to People expert for the faculty, providing strategic guidance on key people matters including people plans, workforce planning, and any change initiatives.


People Projects:
You will drive People projects with a focus on continuous improvement and employee engagement.

During the next 12 months, you will in particular contribute to the review and development of People policies, ensuring they reflect best practices, legal compliance, and align with our values of innovation, inclusion, trust, and excellence.


Data-Driven Decision Making:

You will utilise People metrics and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and present actionable insights to the faculty leadership team.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a People Business Partner or in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution or other relevant industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of People policies, procedures, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Experience in leading People projects, particularly in the areas of policy development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • A commitment to upholding and promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in all practice.
