Description

Due to an internal move, our client is looking for a General Manager to head up one of their busy and most successful sites and continue to lead the team and the business to success.

Reporting directly into the company Directors, you will be responsiblefor all operations and performance relating to the site as well as driving the business forward to achieve some fantastic goals in 2023.

This is a vital and well-respected role within the company, and you must be a fantastic people manager that is able to engage and coach individuals to achieve targets.

You will lead the sales team directly as well as the Service and Parts department Managers,ensuring effective communication and ensuring high levels of engagement with your teams.


Responsibilities of the General Manager:
*Provide leadership to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day management of the depot.
*Ensure a consistent level of excellent customer care across all departments.
*Lead and supervise the sales team to ensure maximised sales and GP targets are met
*Maintain acceptable level of financial return
*Provide support to departmental managers in terms of development, team engagement and implementing policies and processes.
*Ensure health and safety at the depot is maintained

Experience required:
*Outstanding leadership skills with previous experience leading managers as direct reports
*B2B experience within construction, automotive or agriculture
*Proven credentials in meeting GP targets and reporting on financials
*Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to translate KPI's into action
*Confident IT user with Microsoft office, CRM and business systems
*A full UK Driving License is essential
