An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an Operational Lead/Senior Practitioner to lead the London borough of Newhams new (adult) Autism Diagnostic Service.

Youll provide operational management and clinical leadership to a multi-professional staff team, expert clinical assessment/diagnosis and support to people from across the borough.

The service is hosted within East London Foundation NHS Trust and will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and offers an exciting opportunity to help shape our boroughs autism services.

The service will provide specialist autism diagnostic assessments (pre-screening questionnaires, interviews, ADOS-2 and other standardised diagnostic tests as required), post diagnostic consultancy and expertise to other teams/services across the borough.

The post holder will have extensive knowledge and diagnostic clinical skills in the area of autism and be an experienced manager.

This post is 1.0WTE, split (approximately) between the roles of Operational Lead (0.4WTE) and Senior Practitioner (0.6WTE) who will be an active lead clinician in the diagnostic pathway.
