What you'll be doing:


  • You'll use SAP to collect, collate, summarise and analyse Carried on Board spares holdings for each platform.
  • You'll manage the receipt, packing, labelling and delivery of spares via SAP and physical delivery to the platform.
  • You'll liaise with internal stakeholders; the MOD, Ships Staff and external Suppliers.
  • You'll map the boat and engage with manufacturing to ensure each spare will fit in its designated location
  • You'll oversee store inventory and SHE
  • You'll support in creating Project related documentation in accordance with BAE and MoD process and procedures.

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:

  • Experience in SAP
  • Project Management experience/knowledge
  • Technical or distribution background
  • Microsoft office knowledge

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of crisp (account system)
  • Data management experience
  • A good knowledge of the MOD codification processes

The Integrated Combats Systems:

Spares Support - Project Management team:

This is a unique and exciting role where you will work in a small team of two alongside the Navy with the responsibility of ensuring the receipt, packaging, identification and stowage of each boats compliment of "Carried on Board Spares", without which the boat cannot exit Barrow.

The role is multifaceted requiring the team to conduct excellent internal stakeholder management throughout the life cycle of the Project and the ability to manage customer relationships.

The team is also in a process of transition as with the majority of the Astute Class now delivered to the MoD the focus is turning towards honing and improving processes with the transition to the Dreadnought class and the forthcoming move to new storing cell.
