The purpose of the Quality First Team is to:
'inspire our people to put quality first for the benefit of our patients, staff and wider community by building confidence and capability in quality improvement.'

  • To coordinate activities, project tasks and organize the resources to perform the activities and ensure that they run smoothly.
  • To take an active role during the development of project plans and schedules analysing these schedules and the onward communication of them to all project team members.
  • In addition, the post holder will have responsibility for delivery of small standalone projects or supporting workstreams within Programmes.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of highly complex project workstreams to planned timescales, defined standards and quality expectations.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is completed to the standards
  • Liaise with related project teams and external teams to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated and to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of service changes on working practices and patient care.
  • The post holder will regularly participate in training.
  • To provide the necessary enthusiasm and delivery to ensure the programme of work is implemented and becomes an integral part of the organisation's way of doing business
  • To ensure that all project documentation is completed, filed and located in the correct file structure, creating and maintaining project schedules, creating responsibility listsfor those who are involved in the projects,and compiling summaries for those who were involved.
  • To ensure that the Quality Improvement Programme Manager is fully appraised of progress on the overall programme, workstreams and projects, key risks and actions to mitigate those risks.
  • To facilitate stakeholder involvement through the coordination of workshops, meetings process mapping and recording of outcomes and engagement
  • To ensure that the projects or programmes are set up with proportionate governance in order to deliver the outcomes including meetings structures are supported by agreed Terms of Reference, clear scope, defined governance, agendas, action notes, plans, issues and risk logs, and other underpinning documentation.
  • To maintain knowledge of Trust policies and procedures and NHS Developments and initiatives both locally and nationally.
  • Assist the Assistant Project Manager in the production of highlight reports and other key project documentation.
