Take Serena. She is an absolute force of nature at the heart of our Church Street regeneration. And she puts the residents first in everything. Serena's vision is clear. Regeneration isn't just about bricks and concrete. It's about communities. It's about the environment. It's about the lives of people and how they feel about where they call home. Serena is their advocate, making sure residents' voices aren't just heard, but drive the changes we're making. The future is safe in her hands.

The Role:

As a SEND Job Coach you can make your own powerful contribution, as part of a SEND team that's setting benchmarks across the capital in supported employment.

This is about helping young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and special educational needs prepare for employment via the supported internship.

As well as providing a safe place for their professional development, 90% of the service's users have gone directly into paid employment since our 2019 pilot.

Much of that success is down to the team's dual focus.

On one hand, you'll help customers create accessible CVs, and keep in touch as they settle into their new roles.

Equally, you'll break down barriers within the workplace by helping employers - advising on best practices such as 'buddy' programmes, and suggesting individual adjustments whilst creating inclusive interview pathways.

It's something that will see you learn about roles ranging from admin, catering and gardening to cleaning, retail and IT.

You'll collaborate closely with City of Westminster College too, as our supported interns work towards their Level 1 Works Skills certificates.

Along the way, you'll also have the chance to develop your own expertise, as a coach, leader and champion of inclusion.

Please refer to the
Job Description for more information.

About You:

In addition to having knowledge of supported internships or employment services; it's desirable that you have experience of training or teaching vulnerable groups.

A confident communicator - in person and on paper - it's desirable that you'll also be a proven job broker: able to build strong relationships with private, public and third sector organisations, match users to roles, and smooth the transition to permanent work.

What We Offer:
