Previous experience as an admin in a school setting is desirable

Purpose


Provide professional administrative support to the school in pursuit of the objectives of the business by maintaining and supporting the development of high-quality communications.

Key Activities

  • To work alongside the Headteacher in ensuring adequate site and facilities maintenance, including essential Health & Safety checks and recording.
  • To oversee the management of various databases, include school specific data programmes, setting up new users, dealing with admin queries and the creation of new pupil files.
  • Supporting the Headteacher in maintaining petty cash, keeping all school accounts, preparing income and expenditure reports in accordance with company protocol and overseeing resource purchases.
  • Maintain and coordinate school examination paperwork as laid down by the awarding body guidelines and log all incoming correspondences in an exam log.
  • Continuous reporting on pupil absences, including conducting welfare calls.
  • Liaise with Headteacher regarding staff DBS checks/staffing/recruitment/retention queries and accurately maintain a comprehensive single central record.
  • Manage the timely preparation of various reports for Stakeholders of the business for example Education reports, LAC reports, IEP's, Annual reviews and End of term reports.
  • Liaise with the senior leadership team regarding training programmes, being responsible for ensuring all staff training is planned, recorded and kept up to date.
  • Have an understanding/awareness of Estyn regulations and requirements in relation to school administration.
  • Maintain admissions register.
  • Safeguarding lead administrator
- handling referrals and paperwork for individual safeguarding files.

  • Managing the school calendar.
  • Manage Health & Safety on site, attending Health & Safety committee as required.
  • Coordinate induction for new staff.
  • Manage the completion of school equipment inventory.
  • In such circumstances as necessary to prevent injury or remove the risk of harm, restraint should be undertaken in line with PRICE methodology.
  • To be aware of policies and procedures and act accordingly to them.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required commensurate with the level of the position.
  • The key activities relevant to this role do not form an inclusive list of expected duties. Post holders are expected to complete all activities related to the achievement of these objectives along with any other activities deems appropriate for the seniority of this position as directed by senior managers.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
