_Rope and Sling Specialists Ltd are one of the largest independent companies in the field of lifting equipment engineering in the UK.

We provide the industry with a complete service for all their lifting equipment needs and have many years of experience in providing mechanical handling solutions.

Reporting and working closely with the Finance Director and supporting the external depots, you will be required to deal with a variety of tasks.

You will possess a strong transactional background having dealt with purchase / sales ledger processing and bank reconciliations previously and enjoy troubleshooting and solving problems.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Bank and credit card transaction processing and reconciliation.
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, dealing with queries and agreeing balances to statement.
  • Producing reports and summarising financial information
  • Ensuring stock levels are updated on the accounts package.
  • Assisting with the credit control function
  • Entering data onto their inhouse system and manipulating and exporting data
- dealing with queries and general financial administrative tasks as and when required

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.

Monthly Accounts

  • Daily Processing.
  • Assisting with Management Reporting
  • Good Working knowledge of Accounts Systems

Required Experience

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance is essential.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Sage Accounts
  • Strong diligence and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and people skills
  • At least 12 months experience working as part of an accounting or financial team in an office environment.
  • CIS knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word Packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

Salary:
£23,795 - £ Neg per year (DOE) - Pro-rata pay depending on days worked


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexible parttime

Licence/Certification:

  • AAT Level 3 or AAT Level 4 (preferred)
  • And / Or a minimum of two years' experience
