Description
We currently have an interesting opportunity for a Mechanical Handling Equipment Assessor to join our Coleshill team.This person will be in charge of all elements of MHE and banksman training and development, as well as ensuring that operational targets are met.
They will ensure that the training is carried out in accordance with the operations programme and timetable, satisfying all operational requirements in compliance with applicable legislation and business rules.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
- Ensure established MHE, banksman and operational procedures are understood and followed.
- Update and maintain the operations key performance indicators (KPI's).
- Deliver daily/weekly/monthly metrics and operational issues at the morning brief with the operations team.
- Manage the planned preventative maintenance system and train operators in use of warehouse management system.
- Liaise with MHE fleet contractors on MHE maintenance and Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Operations Regulations (LOLER) requirements.
- Ensure records detailing training given are produced timely and accurately whilst maintaining the operations MHE and banksman training matrix.
- Coach, mentor and brief MHE operators and banksman on their performance and behaviours.
- Manage, analyse, and report on MHE operator and banksman audit data.
- Provide representative feedback reports to the Health, Safety & Facilities Manager relating to MHE and banksman performance against the operations established KPIs.
- Support the team in any investigations involving MHE and banksman operations.
What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- RTITB Lift Truck Instructor Qualified (within the last 3 years) & able to deliver counterbalance, reach, pivot and PPT training.
- Scissor Lift and banksman instructor qualification would be desirable.
- Level 3 trainer qualification
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Experience in leading a Team
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads
- No unspent criminal convictions
