Pier 2 Pier Care Services recruiting for a full-time housing first worker for our clients homeless support team in Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes, Rother and Wealdon
Housing first staff provide essential day to day support for those with a history of rough sleeping and homelessness. Intensive support is provided to ensure individuals with complex needs are able to sustain placements and tenancies.

Accommodation will be provided through temporary/emergency placements, private rental sector, social housing and other units managed through the local authorities.

RSI Housing First workers will support clients primarily in individual and shared Housing First units. Engagement work will be required in temporary/emergency accommodation and other tenures (including social housing) when necessary.


Experience

  • Experience of supporting people with complex and diverse needs
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment to achieve joined up solutions
  • Experience of working in housing, homelessness, or social care sector

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of complex and diverse support needs relating to homelessness, mental health and substance misuse
  • An understanding of the barriers preventing people who are rough sleeping
- from engaging with services and accessing housing solutions

  • Ability to monitor support plans and identify additional support needs
  • Understanding of the need for professional boundaries and managing risk
  • Knowledge of current housing legislation and welfare benefit systems

  • Hours Monday, Tuesday 9.00am 5.00pm. Wed, Thurs, Friday 5.00am 1.00pm_

£22,056.00-£24,187.00 per year
