Change Recruitment are working with an innovative, dynamic Financial Services client who are looking for a
Senior Risk Managerfor its
Specialist Risk function.


This Specialist Risk team delivers risk advice, oversight and opinion including the interpretation of complex specialist operational risks and regulatory compliance requirements.

It both leads and supports regulator and industry interactions.


They do this by:

  • Deploying data led techniques that support efficient, effective, and insightful oversight with appropriate risk observations and recommendations.
  • Influencing key stakeholders at all levels, attending key committees/fora and constructively challenging processes, procedures, and controls to ensure risk is managed within agreed appetite.
  • Driving continuous improvement to help shape the future of the Bank.


This opportunity will help lead the businesses approach to Change Risk within the Specialist Risk Function, determining and co-ordinating the approach and framework whilst providing specialist risk insight and challenge across the organisation.

This opportunity could suit someone with a well-rounded Risk background (1st, 2nd or 3rd Line as this client is a big fan of cross pollination) who wishes to gain wider exposure across this Specialist Risk landscape


This is a highly visible position with a lot of senior stakeholder engagement across the business so cultural fit and behaviours are key.

You must be willing and able to get your sleeves rolled up and drive Change Risk across the business to ensure thatthe business fulfils its commitment to its customers and regulators


What you'll be involved in:

  • You'll be working on the oversight of change risk at an enterprise level. This includes the exciting Agile transformation and the existing waterfall change portfolio.

What you'll be ideally have an understanding of:

  • Managing and/or overseeing risk, with knowledge of Change risk and specifically LPM (Lean Portfolio Management) and SAFe (Scaled Agile Frameworks) principles
  • A high proficiently across risk disciplines with a strong understanding of the regulatory agenda
  • An inquisitive mindset and an engaging, inclusive leadership style that inspires colleagues and creates stakeholder confidence
  • Experience gained within a Regulated Financial Services Industry
