We are looking for an outstanding academic with recognised expertise in the field of homelessness and inclusion health to take up a new, permanent position of Chair in Homelessness and Inclusion Health.


The Opportunity:


This newly created Chair in Homelessness and Inclusion Health will provide strategic direction and support to research activity within the Centre for Homelessness and Inclusion Health as well as contributing to teaching and leadership within Nursing Studies and the School of Health in Social Science.


The Centre for Homelessness and Inclusion Health is a cross-College initiative focusing on community engagement, teaching and learning, and research.

It has excellent networks with external partners in the third sector, health and social care that have driven the development of a range of innovative projects, including development of an educational course (online) aimed at those working in the sector.

There is an exciting opportunity for the post-holder to set the strategic direction, in collaboration with centre partners and directors, for a programme of research that addresses the key issues arising in the current socio-political climate post

  • Covid19 pandemic.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Highly effective research, teaching, supervision and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of independently securing substantial external research funding.
  • Demonstrable experience of building partnerships with industry and/or policy makers.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing, teaching, and assessing undergraduate, graduate and doctoral training programmes, including supervision of research students.
  • Demonstrable experience of effective academic leadership and management.
