SEMH Teaching Assistant

For this SEMH Teaching Assistant role you will be mainly based in a classroom of 6-8 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, supporting them throughout all their lessons.

Due to the students needs there will be times where their behaviour canbecome extremely challenging and you will need to act accordingly to make sure everyone is kept safe; you may even be required to remove a child from the class and take them to another area of the school to calm them down before they are able to re-join.

Forthat reason, the ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant for this role, must have had previous experience in a similar setting and not be phased by challenging behaviour.


SEMH School

Found in the London borough of Greenwich, this SEMH School caters for male and female students aged between 11-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

They currently have 120 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in January 2019, theywere reviewed as 'Good' in all areas.
