**Finance Controller
Bedford
£60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits**We are currently recruiting a fully qualified/experienced accountant who has operated at a senior level. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing fulfilment business with a clear progression opportunity to CFO.

What you'll be doing:

Manage the finance department, ensuring the team have clear objectives and guidance to enable success
Design, review and maintain policies and procedures
Budgeting & forecasting
Champion new accounting/finance system
Active involvement in strategic planning for the business across areas including tax, risk and market analysis

What we need from you:

Previous experience in all aspects of mainstream accounting functions. You will need to be a full qualified accountant, ideally with experience in a senior role working a for a logistics, manufacturing or supply chain business
Proven managerial experience you will inherit an existing team that will need leadership and guidance
Experience with Sage systems is essential any exposure to Sage Intaact would be very advantageous
Understanding and experience of working in SME businesses would be desirable
