We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Physiologist to join a team with passion, enthusiasm and commitment for Clinical Neurophysiology, and wide range of opportunities for continuing professional and personal development.

The department carries out a full range of routine and advanced clinical neurophysiological tests and over 10,000 procedures each year


These include:

  • EEGs: In the department on outpatients and inpatients: portable recordings on the wards, in ITU's and during specialist procedures. We also run an ambulatory EEG service and satellite services.
  • Evoked Potentials: Visual Evoked Potentials and Pattern Electroretinogram; Auditory Evoked Potentials; Sensory Evoked Potentials; Dermatomal Evoked Potentials; Contact Heat Evoked Potentials; Single or paired pulse Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
  • IOM: Multi modality neurophysiological monitoring performed during complex neurosurgical procedures.
  • Nerve conduction studies and examination of the nerve excitability profile
  • Qualitative and quantitative Electromyography; Single fibre EMG
  • Small fibre studies.
  • Movement disorder analysis.
  • EMGguided Botulinum Toxin therapy.
