Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives? Do you have experience in housing management, particularly in schemes and tenancies? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Housing Management Worker.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of properties within various housing schemes, ensuring tenancy agreements are upheld and residents' needs are met.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance or repair requirements, coordinating with the appropriate teams to address them promptly.
- Support residents in understanding their rights and responsibilities, providing guidance on tenancy matters and signposting them to relevant support services.
- Assist with the allocation of properties, conducting eligibility assessments and ensuring a fair and transparent process.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as local authorities, contractors, and support organizations, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all interactions, actions taken, and propertyrelated information.
- Support residents in resolving disputes or conflicts, mediating where necessary and promoting a harmonious living environment.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in housing management.
Requirements:
- Experience in housing management, specifically in schemes and tenancies, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Possession of an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate is essential.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage a demanding workload, and meet deadlines.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for recordkeeping and data management.
- A proactive and solutionoriented approach to problemsolving.
