GatewayC is an online platform which delivers high quality education to support GPs and other primary care professionals in the early diagnosis of cancer.

We are looking for an ambitious Marketing Assistant to support our marketing activities for GatewayC.

You'll be working as part of a friendly, motivated, and ambitious team.

We have some exciting projects on the horizon, we are seeking an individual who can lead on the production of print and digital design materials.


Your creative and copywriting skills will be developed by supporting us with a variety of marketing activities, including graphic design, imaginative use of social media and marketing support for our online courses and specialist education.

We will expect you will have some understanding and experience of social media and other marketing techniques.

You will have the opportunity to work as a member of a wide-ranging team which will include GPs, clinicians, charity leads, practice managers, educational experts and technical educators.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to start or progress their career in design or marketing in a healthcare setting.


Proposed Interview date: 8th February 2023.


We are a friendly and supportive team and aim to deliver high quality cancer rehabilitation across the cancer treatment pathway.

The department places emphasis on staff health and well-being, and individuals are invited to participate in regular supervision and debrief sessions to support them in their role.

There are plenty of opportunities for peer support and further learning, and all staff members are encouraged to contribute to our In-service training platform

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Marketing and Engagement Manager in delivering a high quality, creative professional marketing function in respect of GatewayC


This will include:


  • Produce graphics to fulfil the needs of client briefs, whilst adhering to all required brand guidelines
  • Work with clients to take designs from concept through to final delivery, for both print and digital materials
  • Contributing to the production of a range of resources to meet user targets for access to GatewayC. This will include presentations, written materials and media resources.
  • Undertaking tasks within the marketing campaign, including marketing research, being the first point of call for queries and contributing to the creation of promotional materials.
  • Providing practical support for all marketing activities, including the active use of social media.
