Telford Copper & Stainless Cylinders is local family-owned business who are going from strength to strength in their operations, we value the family ethos within the business and working together as one.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and dedicated individual to join our team in the Transport and Logistics division as a Junior Transport Administrator, this job would be perfect for somebody starting out in a career in the transport sector


Initial duties will include:

  • Collating driver's paperwork;
  • Printing, matching and scanning of delivery notes;
  • Creation, printing and authorising of third party labels;
  • Liaising with couriers / 3rd party hauliers;
  • Contacting customers where delays may occur;
  • Data input into spreadsheets;
  • Preparing drivers daily run sheets (through issuing of load lists and delivery notes)
Once you have achieved a competent level with your standard duties, we will look to train you on the following areas in order to provide support and cover to the Transport Manager and Co-Ordinator:

  • Planning and routing of daily deliveries throughout the UK and Ireland;
  • Support and management of Drivers on a daily basis including monitoring of hours worked and deliveries made;
  • Issuing of collection notes when drivers are in relevant areas or submission to couriers if applicable;
  • Liaising with despatch regarding available products and load statuses.


The successful applicant will be forward thinking, attention to detail will be key and a high ability to work under pressure with changing deadlines and pressures from customers and expected delivery dates.

You should be able to use Microsoft Excel and be computer literate. Training will be provided on specific in-house software.

A good geographical knowledge is essential along with being able to multitask and input data.


General hours of work are 9-5 however there will be some requirements for outside of these hours therefore flexibility is key.

Salary:
£10,000.00-£19,000.00 per year
