The multi‐award winning WEC Group is looking to recruit an all-rounder Marketing Executive to join our busy marketing team based in Darwen, Lancs.

This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and busy team.


WEC is one of the largest contract manufacturing companies in the UK and, and due to the multi-brand nature of our Group, this is a very varied role with a wide-ranging list of responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all social media accounts and assist with the creation and implementation of the social media plan for all of WEC Group's divisions and subsidiaries.
  • Creating content and helping with SEO strategy for multiple websites
  • Writing and distribution of press releases and case studies for a variety of industry sectors.
  • Help with the organisation of events (trade shows, corporate golf day, internal awards ceremonies, recruitment open evenings, fundraising events, etc)
  • Assisting HR with recruitment campaigns for apprenticeships and internal vacancies.
  • Basic web design (HTML, WordPress, and Magento) to help Maintain, Improve & Optimize the Group's 15+ websites.


  • Content marketing

  • Help with the content writing and optimization of new websites.
  • Devising strategies to increase online traffic to the company websites and achieve top rankings on major search engines for a wide variety of keywords.
  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns utilising a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC.
  • Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns for the company's new Engineering Academy in Blackburn.
  • Design marketing material (brochures, leaflets, etc) using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Optimization, cleaning and manipulation of product photos using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Design of company presentations and case studies.
  • Contribute to the Group's online & offline marketing strategies.
  • Assisting the wider marketing team with adhoc duties.
  • Updating intranet with upcoming events, new starters, news and relevant documents.
  • Excel data entry compile web traffic statistics, Social Media engagement reports, etc.
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing & social media.
  • Being an internal and external brand ambassador.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

ESSENTIAL:


  • Strong Digital Skills
  • Enthusiasm for Social Media
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working to tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and Google AdWords
  • Sound knowledge of Digital Marketing & latest SEO tactics
  • Good project management skills
  • Driving Licence the role will involve travel between WEC Group's Darwen HQ and our other local sites in Blackburn

DESIRED:


  • Past Experience in similar B2B role (industrial/engineering knowledge a definite advantage).
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Basic understanding of HTML, WordPress, and Magento
  • Training will be provided where required.
  • Experience building or maintaining new websites.
  • Experience planning and managing events such as exhibitions and corporate events.
  • Relevant marketing, PR, digital, or journalism qualification or equivalent injob experience.

Working Location/Environment
Office based at the Group's headquarters in Darwen, Lancashire.


Hours of Work

Week One:
Monday‐ Friday 8.30am‐ 5pm (40 hrs)


Week two:
Monday

  • Thursday 8am5pm, Friday 8am2pm (40 hrs)
