Senior Programme Manager PMO - Belfast

Hays are working in partnership with a recognised Public Body Client to recruit for a Senior Programme Manager PMO Manager.

With around 3,800 employees across various locations throughout the province, this company is one of Northern Ireland's largest employerswho has 50+ years' experience in providing quality services throughout Northern Ireland.

Due to a consistent pipeline of work leading into 2023, this organisation now seeks a Project Manager to join their growing team You will be accountable to the Head ofPMO for the successful planning and delivery of the Companies Capital Investment Programme (portfolio) ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and priorities and optimising return on investment within resource constraints.

The portfolio comprises both'business as usual' and 'business change' programmes, comprising approximately 400 projects, with an annual budget of approximately £250m.

This requires stakeholder engagement at a senior level and effective management of portfolio planning, finance, risk,and benefits.

What you'll get in return

You will have a relevant a degree in Construction, Engineering, Business (or equivalent) discipline, a minimum of 3 years' experience in the successful planning and delivery of major construction/engineering projects and programmes, a minimum of 2 years' experienceworking at a programme management (or equivalent) level within a programme management office environment.

Proven experience in developing major capital investment plans, comprising multiple projects, and delivery within budgetary, time and logístical constraints.

Significant experience of portfolio or programmes management where the post holder has full responsibility for solving complex risks and issues.

Ability to manage senior stakeholders and implement performance management at all levels. Experience of managingstaff, allocating and managing workloads within a busy programme office environment.
