    Building Team

    At Daniel Watney, we've been helping clients get the most from their property for over 150 years. Now, we're looking for a Graduate Building Surveyors to join our team and grow with us.


    This is a hands-on role where you'll work across a wide range of commercial and residential projects, supported by experienced colleagues and a structured APC programme.

    You'll gain the technical skills, client exposure, and confidence you need to become a Chartered Surveyor - and we'll be with you every step of the way.


    What you'll be doing:
    You'll work alongside our Project & Building Consultancy team on a variety of instructions, including:

    Building surveys, condition reports and dilapidation assessments
    Preparing specifications and schedules of work
    Contract administration and project management
    Measured surveys and CAD drawings
    Planning and building control applications
    Feasibility studies and defect diagnosis
    Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
    Keeping accurate records and ensuring compliance with H&S legislation
    Contributing to reports and day-to-day team delivery.


    Who we're looking for:
    We're looking for someone who's curious, collaborative, and ready to learn


    You'll also need:
    A RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying or a related subject
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
    The ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks
    A willingness to travel to sites when needed
    A genuine interest in the built environment and professional development.

    It's a bonus if you also have:
    Previous work experience or a placement in a surveying environment
    An understanding of Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
