£36,298 - £41,496 per annum

Full time, 3 Year Fixed term contract

We need an experienced PR & Communications Account Manager to help us to tell the story of a Borough that is changing and a Borough that has big ambitions for its future.

We're looking for experienced communications professionals with excellent writing skills and a flair for content creation.

You will be creating content for the trade and consumer media, social media and for the Council's website.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Planning and delivering campaigns and communications on behalf of the council and our services
  • Working with partner organisations to promote Walsall's ambitions for its future
  • Building and maintaining effective trade and consumer media relations
  • Developing and delivering marketing and social media campaigns
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of those campaigns


This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

The postholder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
