Hexagon International Transport Ltd, a Manchester freight forwarder has an excellent opportunity for a, Full-time, Operations Controller.Normal working hours Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm (with the possiblilty of some flexibility) - 1 hour lunch.
Salary will be dependant on experience.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responding to rate & booking requests from customers
- Dealing with overseas clients, agents & hauliers
- Arranging collections/transport with UK and overseas subcontractors
- Management of shipments
- Consolidation of groupage cargo
- Arranging export/import customs clearance with 3rd party agents
- Ensuring all necessary documentation is in place and in order
- Some in house sales
- General admin duties
Requirements:
- Ideally experience in the Freight Forwarding industry. Applicants from other industries would be considered
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Confident communicator
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a busy, fast paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of Customs procedures, French geography and language would be advantageous
Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
Freight Forwarding: 1 year (preferred)
