We are currently recruiting for an Event Operations Executive to join a leading Events and Media business within the Maritime sector.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and ambitious individual capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, demonstrating attention for detail and delivering results.
The maritime industry sits at the centre of the global economy, and ports and terminals are vital to ensuring the safe passage of goods across the supply chain.
Massive technological changes mean now is a great time to enter the industry, with the biggest ports, terminal operators, carriers and logistics firms investing heavily to connect cities, countries and regions through the power of trade.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Operational support for the company's conferences, networking receptions and third party presence
- Venue sourcing; quote assimilation, negotiation and contracting
- Onsite participation at events, including partnercompany liaison, effecting prearranged and adhoc meetings
- Assisting in the delivery of sponsorship contracts; exceeding the expectations of our customers by providing a professional preevent and onsite experience
- Responsibility for management of delegate ticketing; registering all event passes and producing passes ahead of the event
- Management of registration process on site; distributing passes to all attendees, acting as key point of contact and representative of the company and its brands
- Distribution of content to events
- Working with internal and external suppliers, developers, accounts, freight carriers, venues, etc
- Administration and research
- Briefing inhouse web and print designers to develop sales and marketing collateral
The successful applicant will have:
- Degree or equivalent qualification / experience
- A minimum of 1 years' relevant operations experience in either a B2B events or media organisation
- Highly organised and professional attitude
- Digital marketing experience using tools including social media and Google Analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Positive work ethic, cando attitude, and plenty of initiative and willingness to learn
- Excellent telephone etiquette and written communication skills
- Superb Microsoft Office skills expected, including highly proficient in Excel
- Ability to travel globally
Desired but not required experience in:
- Pardot and Salesforce
- WordPress
