Description

A national Utilities client of ours are looking for a Data Engineer to join their platform team, building out a new ground-breaking data platform for the energy sector, supporting over 12 Million customers.

As a Data Engineer you'll be working alongside data scientists, software engineers and the delivery team to continually improve and add function to a leading-edge platform and environment.

Role Responsibilities:

Using Azure and Databricks to build pipelines to a data lake to ensure production ready data is available
Work with stakeholders across the business to analyst and evaluate their data requirements and ensure the business functions continually keep data at the centre of decisions made
Work closely with the data architects to determine if systems are appropriate and understand the data needs from the data scientists
Support for users of the data platform, including advising on best practice

What you should bring to the role:

Good knowledge of Azure platforms and previous experience with Databricks
Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and an ability to translate business needs into effective workstreams
Strong Python experience, from design patterns to maintenance
Previous experience of database architecture, warehousing and data lake solutions
