Description

Provide clinical and managerial leadership for nursing and support staff to ensure effective running of the unit in the absence of Manager and also work at our satellite unit in Chester.

Promote positive patient experience to all patients ensuring a positive patient journey. This post will be covering Liverpool and Chester sites.

Main Duties

  • Assist with the clinical management of the department, maintaining high standards of nursing practice and promoting the philosophy of patient and family centred care. Ensuring effective communication is maintained.
  • Function at experienced nurse level, able to make effective decisions autonomously / independently without supervision and in partnership with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Act as a team leader / coordinator and role model for the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of a high standard of evidencebased care to patients and providing support for all staff on the unit.
  • Participate in projects within the unit and represent the department at appropriate Trust meetings.
  • Facilitate the education of registered and nonregistered staff and work in association with, and the support of, the unit manager in defining standards of care and practice aimed at developing and/or improving the quality of patient care.
  • The post holder may be required to work within any of the Division as required.
