Role Overview
We are looking for a
Customer Communications Partner (Safety) to join our fantastic Customer Communications Team.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll be responsible for leading on communications relating to building and fire safety for our customers and stakeholders.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working with the Head of Customer Communications to deliver the communications work programme for building and fire safety and contributing to the customer communications strategy
  • Acting as business partner to the Building and Fire Safety programme, identifying and agreeing priorities and requirementsfor communications
  • Planning, developing and delivering communications plans for highrisk schemes for customers and stakeholders
  • Supporting teams to deliver high quality communications for medium and lower risk schemes, including guidance, advice and training
  • Identifying and managing reputational risks in the building and fire safety space
  • Developing and maintaining expertise about the national and local fire safety and building quality landscape.
  • Working with the Customer Communications Team to manage media enquiries relating to fire and building safety.
  • Providing communications advice and support for customer complaints and MP enquiries
  • Developing processes and frameworks to embed best practice and set standards and expectations for communications within operational teams
  • Planning and delivering proactive communications and engagement activities with political stakeholders, including MPs and councillors.

More about you:


  • Communications experience within a large, complex environment, including customer communications, media relations, crisis communications and public affairs
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to provide advice and guidance for stakeholders at all levels developing strong relationships
  • Creating and delivering communications plans, frameworks and improvement solutions, including research and analysis
  • Project management skills, including briefs, plans, delivery and evaluation, working with peers and colleagues across different departments
  • Brand management, ensuring communications are delivered in line with the Group's tone of voice and corporate identity
  • Knowledge of housing/fire safety (desirable)
  • A relevant professional qualification (E.g. PR, journalism, marketing)
