The Role
We are seeking a Compliance Assurance Officer to join Marshall Motor Group. Offered on a full-time, permanent basis, this role reports to our Head of Compliance.

Although this is a hybrid working role you must be able to commute to Blackburn for some face/face meetings with our Head of Compliance and be happy to visit dealerships to conduct monitoring occasionally.

Knowledge

Ability to understand and interpret regulatory rules and guidance
Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements (particularly CONC and DISP) pertaining to the sale of consumer finance and/or general insurance
Knowledge of TCF and the NEW Consumer Duty is desirable
Knowledge of data protection/GDPR

Required skillset for this role

IT literate with the ability to organise and analyse high volumes of data
Very organised with good time management skills
Excellent communication skills precise and clear in written and verbal communication
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent attention to detail and accurate
Ability to conduct root cause analysis, conduct trend analysis and offer solutions to identified problems
Selfmotivated, persistent, diligent and enthusiastic
Ability to handle and prioritise own workload
Ability to promote a positive compliance culture
Strong organisational, analytical and methodical skills

Experience required

Experience of working in an FCA regulated financial services business
Experience of working in a retail environment preferably the motor trade
Proven ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them effectively
At least 3 years previous experience working in a Compliance Monitoring/Assurance role
Track record of supporting businesses in a risk/compliance function

Day to Day Duties & Responsibilities

Delivery of the agreed Compliance Monitoring Plan
Develop a good understanding of Marshall Motor Group Ltd
Keep up to date with various department processes
Maintain knowledge of new and evolving regulatory compliance requirements and good practice
Undertake monitoring activities as defined in the plan and support the team to deliver the planned activities
Develop and maintain the compliance monitoring methodology
Provide clear and accurate reports of findings to the Head of Compliance and key stakeholders
Promote a positive compliance culture in all interactions
Identify, report and monitor risk indicators to support the development of risk based monitoring
Present findings to key stakeholders, providing recommendations in line with industry best practice and regulatory expectations
Maintain positive stakeholder relationships across the business to identify risks and issues
Carry out adhoc duties as directed
