Role Overview


We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, committed and compassionate HR professional to lead the HR administration function at Nottingham City Transport.


Key Responsibilities
-
HR Administration and Systems:


  • Effectively manage and maintain all HR documentation, records and systems and processes, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and Company procedures
  • Monitoring, reviewing, creating and updating all HR policies
  • Managing the administration of all onboarding, contractual variations and termination processes with appropriate department managers in order to maintain an accurate HR database of applicants, employees and leavers.
  • Maintaining accurate employee record keeping across relevant systems
  • Efficiently and professionally respond to all administrative and documentary requirements within the HR department. To liaise with internal departments and external parties in order to provide information and statistics for statutory and other purposesas appropriate. This will include response to reference requests and other employee related administration.
  • Managing our HR ITrent system and account management relationship and acting as the HR lead on any upgrades or new system implementations.
  • Processing all maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave requests

Data Reporting:


  • Producing HR reports; reporting on a range of employee data and KPI's.
  • Managing the salaried staff monthly sickness/absence records and report on matters of concern.
  • Completing ONS reports on a quarterly basis

Recruitment:


  • Assist in producing recruitment adverts for nondriver vacancies, posting adverts and undertaking iTrent protocols.
  • Participating in driver recruitment activity in conjunction with the respective Garage Managers and the Training department staff
  • Conducting interviews with hiring managers
  • Managing offers and the effective on boarding of all new starters

Employee Relations:


  • Managing employee disciplinary, grievance and absence processes, supporting and coaching managers through the process and maintaining detailed minutes and actions from all meetings

Other:


  • Managing Annual Health Surveillance, Company medicals and D&A testing with external providers.
  • Ensuring HAVS assessments are arranged and attended
  • To carry out other projects and tasks as directed by the HR Director. At all time promoting a high professional standard of conduct and practice including representing the Company, internally and externally, as required.
  • To advise and assist Directors, managers and supervisors in ensuring that all Company rules, policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all time. To provide appropriate support in all aspects of matters relating to Recruitment, Disciplinary& Grievance Procedures, Equal Opportunities & Dignity at Work and "family friendly" issues (i.e. requests for maternity, paternity & parental leave and flexible working arrangements).

Salary, Hours of work and Benefits:

  • Salary will be dependent upon skills & experience


  • Monday

  • Friday, 7.24 hours per day, 8.30am pm, 37 hours weekly, inclusive of unpaid meal break (some flexibility to meet operational needs)
  • 25 days' holiday (pro rata) per year plus 8 bank holidays
