Following sustained growth over the last 31 years, We are now seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to join our sales team within our Head Office (Bournemouth).
This role would suit a dedicated, driven, charismatic individual with excellent administrative and communication skills with an aim to progress into a Regional Business Development Manager role.
Key Duties
- Conduct calls to generate new business;
- Input, update, manage and maintain information within our CRM system, ensuring accurate records are kept of client interactions, meetings, estimates, sales and projects;
- Supporting Business Development Managers in liaising with estimating and surveying teams throughout the entirety of projects;
- Support and attend events, conferences, and exhibitions as and when required (either to be part of the buildup, as part of the stand presence or just for a day to build up industry knowledge);
- Liaise with colleagues to prepare sales and marketing reports;
- Identify, research and present new business opportunities;
- Achieve set KPI's.
Personal Specification
- Proven successful track record of working, and achieving targets, within a sales role (preferably B2B);
- Experience in working to deadlines and targets within a collaborative team environment;
- Confident in working through the sales process;
- Demonstrate an excellent ability to understand client needs and tailor approach accordingly;
- Experience in handling and overcoming rejections;
- Proficient in using IT systems including MS Office and Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM);
- Excellent verbal communication skills over the phone and facetoface (meetings & events) and professional written communication skills;
- Proactive, persuasive & confident, with excellent attention to detail;
- Resilient and motivated;
- Autonomous, with the ability to work on own initiative;
- Knowledge of surveying and estates management would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
