Qualitair are excited to be recruiting an Procurement an Inventory Project Manager to support one of our Clients in gatwick


About the Job:
To build strong relationships with the company's suppliers to help ensure that the company is receiving the best
overall prices available through negotiation and the overall optimisation of both procurement and repair
expenditure streams.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop a strong relationship with all suppliers and ensure that the company is getting the best possible price
and general terms

  • Obtain quotes for components from multiple supplier sources to determine if the company is receiving the
best possible price.

  • Solicit bids, analyse quotes, and recommend to Management who is the best overall vendor, looking
at price, reputations, reciprocal business, etc.

  • Coordinate with the various departments to ensure their purchase requirements are added centrally
on the Database.

  • Conduct procurement activity according to the deadline provided by the various departments.
  • Coordinate with the various departments to collate purchasing spend to ensure the company benefits from
potential financial savings.

  • Obtain warranty return approvals and liaise with internal departments on rejected units.
  • Monitor improvement measures with nonperforming suppliers.
  • Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to implement process improvement and Key Performance
Indicators (KPI's).

  • Expedites and monitors materials shipments from freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure prompt
delivery.

  • Quotation evaluation and cost approval. This includes cost management to hold suppliers to
contractual terms, warranty enforcement and making commercial challenges.

  • Develop positive and strong supplier, customer and internal relationships, seek to improve working
methods and communications.


Requirements:


  • Degree level or equivalent OR Related experience and/or training
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration experience
  • Experience working within the Aviation market is desirable
  • Excellent computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Analytical: must be able to effectively handle and analyse large volumes of data
