Full Time - 35 hours per week (working hours)


Circa Starting Salary:
£24,000

Based at our HQ near Stoneleigh, Warwickshire (Agile working arrangements available)


The British Horse Society is the nation's largest equine charity with a passion for horses that is backed by knowledge and expertise. The BHS represents and provides a range of services for horse riders, horse owners, enthusiasts and professionals.

The Marketing Executive role is a new role that supports in the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns to achieve income and charitable objectives.

The Marketing Executive role will support our Campaign Managers in the management of marketing activity with a focus on delivering against targets continually optimzing campaign performance as well as working on a broad range of marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is considered in all creative outputs
  • Supporting in the creation of multichannel campaign plans, using knowledge and expertise to develop integrated plans
  • Reporting on the performance of campaign activities, including the impact of channels on other channels
  • Management of paid media channels and platforms, including PPC, affiliates, display advertising and paid social
  • Working with creative teams to ensure asset creation and testing is integral to campaign plans
  • Working closely with specialist agencies and key suppliers
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the organisation, in order to collaboratively meet objectives
  • Collaborating with the broader marketing team to deliver integrated campaigns across online and offline channels
  • Attending specialist events where appropriate
  • Assisting the wider Marketing and Communications team with ad hoc duties as and when necessary, in any task required
  • Supporting in the management of campaign budgets
  • Build trust, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

Person Specification:


  • Education to Degree level or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Midlevel experience in a marketing focussed role with a passion for integrated campaigns and a willingness to learn
  • Experience of delivering campaigns across a range of channels, and collaborating with suppliers and other teams in order to meet deadlines
  • Experience of a range of digital channels
  • Understanding of campaign measurement
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong execution skills able to juggle a demanding and varied workload, working to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Strong stakeholder management articulate and personable with good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Organisational skills

  • Excellent teamwork skills happy to be part of a large marketing and communications team
  • Strong IT skills across all the core MS office products
