Description

Cordius are currently working with a supplier of sophisticated machining services specialising in aerofoil and rotative components based in Rotherham.

As a Research and Development Engineer at the R&D department, you will be frequently working with new technology and clients and you will get involved in a range of improvement projects.

This could involve the implementation of a new digital system for trackingfactory production, or participation in the prototyping of new parts/components.

All of these projects require a substantial amount of technical engineering, examining new procedures or production processes.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering delivery duties for research and development projects. This may involve the development of CAD designs for parts, the planning of experiments, or the design of new systems.
Assist with project management duties, such as establishing and revising plans, attending client meetings, and drafting reports and presentations.
Assist with budgeting and reporting for projects.
Help the R&D manager create new project/sales opportunities.
Assist the commercial production team in areas such as task estimates and production delivery planning.

Skills & Experience

This is an excellent chance for a new engineer to contribute to the development of new technologies and manufacturing techniques in a rapidly expanding company.

Engineering or management discipline degree.
Examples of technical work performed in education or employment.
A desire to resolve issues.
Capability to assume duties and responsibilities.
Meeting and dealing with clients will be an integral component of the position; therefore, excellent communication skills are essential. We will seek for proof of this during all phases of the interview process.
