We have a fantastic opportunity for a PBS & Autism Support Worker to join our dedicated team based in Pencoed, Bridgend.

Holding a full UK driving licence is mandatory due to the requirements of the role.


What do the people we support have to say?

  • I am a 68 year old male and live in the Pencoed area. I need prompting with my person care and daily living tasks. I like to get out into the community visit the pub and have a cup of tea on Porthcawl sea front. I like to talk to people about my interests including listening to music and watching football. Cardiff City being my favourite team. I am looking for someone who can motivate me to engage in more activities and develop my independence
  • I am a 56 old male and live in the Pencoed area along with my co Tenant. I enjoy going out in my car but on times find it difficult to engage in community activities and need someone to support me with patience and reassurance to help me overcome these difficulties. I have been to watch Rugby matches and have a keen interest in tractors where I have been to a number of agricultural shows. I Like to help around my home and get involved as much as possible.


In this pivotal role, you will be assisting and encouraging people in supported living to become integrated members of their local community, promoting physical and social interaction.

We have been supporting people in Wales for over 35 years and currently support over 350 people in ten different local authority areas.


What will you be doing?

  • You will build a wonderful relationship with the people we support working with them to achieve their goal, supporting them in the community.
  • As a Support Worker you will develop, implement, and review a range of individual support plans to enable the person that you will support to lead a fulfilling life.
  • You will provide support with a range of tasks which may include household and domestic tasks, shopping, diet/food preparation, personal care, personal hygiene, dressing and personal appearance.
  • As a Support worker we will support you in studying towards your QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care, which is completely funded by mirus.
  • You will work alongside other professionals such as care managers, community nurses and occupational therapists to deliver high quality support.

You may understand the issues associated with people with complex needs, but we will provide in depth training and coaching.
