We are working with a SEN school to recruit Psychology Graduate Assistants to work in an SEN school.

The pupils in this provision are aged 11-19 and all have a diagnosis of some form of complex learning difficulty including Autism, SEMH and PMLD.

As a resultof these needs there is lower-level learning than a traditional school and a higher level of nurture support.

The pupils who are college age have a curriculum based around independent living and life skills.


Due to their additional needs the pupils present behaviours that require a higher level of support which you as the Psychology Graduate Assistant would be helping to provide.


The successful teaching assistant for this post will be a Psychology Graduate Assistants and as a result will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs.

You must also be a confident and a resilient teaching assistant who holds agenuine desire to help young people with SEN achieve.

This is a fantastic school which offers a great opportunity for Psychology Graduates to begin a career after university. The school is based in Trafford with excellent transports links.


In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
