Our Stores Supervisor plays a pivotal role in helping us to deliver our mission and achieve our strategic goals by ensuring excellent service activities are consistently met.


Key responsibilities:

Responsible for security (locking and unlocking of stores area and site access for deliveries)
Maintain high standards of health and safety, organisation, quality, cleanliness and security in the stores environment and yard.
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order and dispatch of goods
Use forklift trucks ensure they are maintained in good order.
Control access for deliveries to goods in
Safely unload and receive site deliveries and load goods.
Book in all goods received and update product database.
Ensure the quality and correct quantity of all goods received.
Ensure that all goods are suitably stored, stacked, wrapped, protected and maintained in good condition while stored

Ensure that dispatched goods are securely packed, loaded and protected suitable for transportation
Pick required spares / parts / materials daily and ensure available and issued in good time
Ensure good stock rotation is maintained.
Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
Keep stock control systems up to date, carry out stock takes and make sure inventories are accurate and organised.
Monitor and report performance and progress

Ensure correct manual handling techniques are used at all times where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems.

Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as required
Ensure adequate signage to warn of hazards.
Ensure that forklift inspections are carried out and recorded daily
Periodically check to ensure that racking is suitable for the loads carried and has not been modified or damaged, action any damage/ issues immediately
Communicate with all customers, suppliers and internal staff with a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills


Experience and Skills -
Experienced and trained in Forklift truck operations, loading and slinging

Ability to maintain and operate the stores and warehouse functions to a high standard

Possess excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn the Company CRM system

Purchasing and supplier experience is highly desirable for this role

A proven ability to adapt to change regularly to overcome a wide range of issues

A team player with a can-do attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves, Self-motivated and customer focused.

Able to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner

Takes pride in operating at a high standard, giving quality service and good attention to detail.
